CCBC History The Charlotte Chinese Baptist Church started as a language mission of the Shamrock Drive Baptist Church in 1982. After about 10 years, the mission became an independent church. As prayers were lifted up for a suitable site to build the first Chinese church in Charlotte, many witnessed the gracious hands of God at work. With the loving help and hard work of the Hearts & Hammers, Mission of Independence Hill Baptist Church and volunteers from other churches and groups, construction on phase I of the church building was miraculously completed in a matter of days in 1994. With the grace of our Lord, phase II of the church building was completed in 1997. This wonderful facility, which includes a spacious sanctuary, a multi-purpose fellowship hall, and rooms for educational purposes, has become the spiritual home of many whose lives have been changed through a personal relationship with the Lord Jesus Christ. The Gospel of the risen Savior can now be heard in Chinese and English through the various ministries of this church.
